I’m interested in coral biology, ecology, and the effects of anthropogenic stressors on corals and coral reef community resiliency. I’m currently focused on coral reproductive modes and abundances as well as nutrient effects on dominant reef constituents. Through my sustainability work I strive to communicate scientifically supported resource management to the local community, academic institutions, and legislative bodies. To this end, I’m particularly interested in understanding the coral holobiont with the goal of better informing management and community engagement programs.
